Obama Hits Record Disapproval Rating

Obama has sunk to his lowest level -- so far -- of approval since he became president, in the daily tracking poll by Gallup.  His approval rating falls to 39%, while his disapproval rating is at 54%.

The poll coincides with the dominant political story of the week in the media, which is the unscientific but strangely influential Ames Straw Poll in Iowa, testing the Republican candidate list of the moment.  More importantly though, the specific dates of the Gallup poll occur during the coverage of the run-up to the announcement by Rick Perry that he is a candidate for the presidency.

Coincidence?  I think not.

Consider that all such comments are in the public domain and are expected to be polite, even while contentious. I will delete comments which are ad hominem, as well as those needlessly profane beyond the realm of sputtering incredulity in reaction to some inanity, unless attributed to a quote.

Links to other sources are fine so long as they further the argument or expand on the discussion. All such comments and links are the responsibility of the commenter, and the mere presence herein does not necessarily constitute my agreement.
